A Heart’s Desire: Matchmaker Services will Honestly Deliver
It’s a given I’m not the kind of laid back bachelor, comfortably accustomed to watching junk tv solo like a spoil sport. I’d wager nobody probably never heard me talk much about great dating and compatibility. No surprise.
Boredom is an unfortunate human characteristic and intentionally neglected in my family history. However, I’ll level with you, I was forced to escape from a worthwhile cohabitation and I felt a great deal for but essentially would never last. So you might tell ya it has been a while since I dated someone new. I’m missing the dating with great expectations I held years ago.
I’m not used to being single. This much is certain, I won’t stay in faithfully watching Star Trek Enterprise on DVD. The number one factor behind this bout of occasional dating apathy? The people I know are settling down, and most ladies I meet at work are taken.
My go-getting college pal, Jim, who has never had dating apathy, informed me he’s almost in a similar place. He linked me to the Great Expectations Dating service. Not usually my thing, but I can’t argue with meeting fun singles with similar interests. So I put myself on a plan and I’m now a satisfied member.
Here’s the deal, you wouldn’t complain by being alone when you haven’t picked up the phone. Just like my senior year basketball coach Paul Smith chimed in between war stories, “When the ladies don’t bite, bite them first, sonny.”
The man didn’t know my name. But, the old guy was on the money in a way nobody could understand. He meant well to everyone. This crazy series of singles events in Dallas here could have done a number on his mind.
