Get Support for Your BT Broadband Service with Live Chat
BT has set up a new, instant-messenger style service offering customers a new way to gather information on products, resolve queries, or make purchases without lifting up the phone receiver.
Initially set up to offer customers who have difficulty communicating via the telephone, Live Chat (available on www.BT.com/inclusion) offers access to a BT customer service advisor. After typing a question on-screen, BT claims a dedicated advisor will respond straight away.
Customers are invited to use Live Chat to receive support on a number of different topics including billing queries, account changes (including broadband migration), advice on products and services or to request BT support literature. Interested? – click here for more info on BT Broadband.
Speaking on the new feature, Warren Buckley, director of Strategy and eServices at BT, said: “We want customers to be able to communicate with BT easily and know that communication over the telephone doesn’t work for everyone. Live Chat offers our customers an alternative way to interact with BT and enables them to be confident that someone is on hand to answer their questions in real time.”
It’s a service that has been met with praise by the likes of Hearing Concern Link. Pleased with the opportunities this offers customers with disabilities, it’s now approached Ofcom to encourage other service providers to set up a similar system.
Currently BT’s Live Chat support is available from 10am-5pm Monday to Friday. To access Live Chat go to BT’s Inclusion website and click on the ‘Chat to us Live
