Naveen Jain at Summit 4Mobility 2000
Intelius CEO and co-founder Naveen Jain was the opening day major speaker at Andrew Seybold’s Summit 4Mobility in 2000, according to the event originator himself, Andrew Seybold. It was the first in an annual exclusive series of conferences on the incorporation of wireless Internet and mobile computing. The conference took place in Phoenix, Arizona, from February 13-15 at the Arizona Baltimore. The event had Forbes, Andrew Seybold’s Outlook, and the Wireless Week Magazine as co-hosts.
Andrew Seybold explains that they chose Naveen Jain as speaker because of his vast experience in Internet, information sciences, and networking. Seybold adds that Jain’s experiences made him the most qualified when it comes to introducing the concept of interconnecting the Internet, wireless communications, and mobile computing.
Seybold further said that being an innovator, Jain effectively comes up with information that helps other entities to improve Web-based services.
Jain’s speech centered on wireless Internet and its positive effects on commerce. The speech took conference participants behind the company’s portal sites, which are the clear information sources, and observe what Jain conveys as the “Information Operating System”, or the actual dissemination mechanism for the communications services supplied through the portal sites of Intelius.
After serving as CEO to InfoSpace, a Washington-based Internet service company, Naveen Jainfounded Intellius in 2003. Known for his technological contributions and innovative and modern approach to the allocation of information, Jain received honors as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the 9th annual Ernst & Young Pacific Northwest Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony in June 1999. Jain was also among Red Herring magazine’s Top 20 Entrepreneurs in Digital Technology.
